Embark on a remarkable week-long adventure in the heart of Catalonia’s wine regions, staying at two boutique hotels—one in the serene Penedès countryside and another on the sunlit beaches of Sitges. Throughout our journey, we’ll dive into wine culture and gastronomy, meet esteemed winemakers, and craft pottery.

Its Penedès and Priorat wine regions span over 50,000 hectares of breathtaking landscapes dotted with more than 500 wineries, offering a true taste of Catalan terroir. Explore centuries-old winemaking traditions and distinctive flavor profiles. Your week includes stays at boutique hotels, with four nights in the tranquil Penedès countryside, followed by three nights of seaside luxury in the vibrant beach town of Sitges. Your adventure begins the moment you arrive at Barcelona International Airport. From there, you’ll be whisked away to the enchanting Penedès Wine Region, where vine-covered hills and exceptional wines set the stage for an unforgettable journey. Nestled within this picturesque landscape is the extraordinary Casa Gran 1771, an exclusive historic farmhouse in the charming town of L'Avella and affiliated with the esteemed Mont Rubí Winery. This luxurious estate will be your haven for the week, offering a perfect blend of relaxation and immersion into Catalonia’s winemaking heritage. Prepare for a week filled with exquisite wines, breathtaking scenery, and the warmth of Catalan hospitality.
Take the afternoon to unpack, relax, and settle in. Sip wine poolside, take in the scenery, and toast with fellow travelers.
In the evening, we’ll gather for welcome drinks on the estate grounds before enjoying dinner at the winery’s restaurant, where all ingredients are estate-farmed or selected from top local producers in the Penedès region.

After breakfast, we’ll visit a local amphora maker's workshop, where you’ll have the unique opportunity to take a clay pot class and shape your own piece, adding a personal touch. As you delve into the artistry of pottery-making, you’ll also experience an extraordinary wine tasting, combining craftsmanship, creativity, and the pleasures of the palate.
Afterward, enjoy a delicious lunch, followed by a few hours of leisure to unwind and explore at your own pace.
In the early evening, we’ll embark on a private tour of a stunning winery. Wander through the vineyards and down to the cellar, where we’ll savor a tasting of their exquisite wines. We’ll conclude the evening with a luxurious multi-course dinner, watching the sun set over the vineyards.

After breakfast, we’ll head to an olive oil farm for a tasting and tour of the property. This farm produces organic local varieties, and by the end of our visit, you’ll gain a deeper appreciation for the significance of olive oil in Catalan culture and heritage. We’ll then sit down for a lunch featuring locally sourced ingredients.
Next, we’ll travel to the village of Vilafranca for a wine tasting, where our sommeliers will lead a Spanish wine masterclass paired with local tapas. After dinner, you’ll witness an awe-inspiring display of strength, coordination, and community spirit as local practitioners showcase their centuries-old art of human tower building. Enjoy front-row seats to this vibrant tradition, offering an exclusive glimpse into Catalonia's rich cultural heritage.

After breakfast, enjoy an optional helicopter ride over the Penedès Wine Region and the Montserrat mountain range. Afterward, return to the hotel, where the entire group will then set off for Sitges, our base for the remainder of the week.
In the early afternoon, we’ll visit a local winery that offers more than just exquisite wines. Here, local fishermen will prepare a meal featuring seasonal catch, providing a glimpse into the community’s time-honored traditions for an unforgettable gastronomic and cultural experience.
Take some time to relax at the hotel or explore the town before we head out in the early evening for a guided tour of Sitges, where we’ll uncover the stories of the Americanos. Strolling along the seafront, we’ll admire grand mansions and learn about the history of this modernist architecture.
We’ll cap off the evening with dinner at a restaurant reserved exclusively for our group. The owners will present us with an authentic Spanish tapas feast, paired with wines selected by our sommeliers, leaving a lasting impression on your palate.

The rest of the day is yours to explore or enjoy an evening out for dinner in Sitges.

Connect with your mind, body, and the natural surroundings during an optional sunrise yoga session.
Immerse yourself in the region’s culture with a visit to a vermouth producer, where you’ll witness the meticulous craft behind this beloved Catalan spirit. Next, we’ll visit a renowned winery and vinegar producer, learning about vinegar-making and its connection to wine production. Enjoy a light lunch showcasing the producer’s vinegar, expertly paired with the winery’s finest selections.
In the late afternoon, we’ll embark on a wine tour of the Penedès Wine Region, visiting two wineries in one of Spain's top wine-producing areas and one of Europe’s oldest viticultural regions. While cava dominates production, the region also offers sought-after oak-aged reds.
A private wine tour and cava tasting will set the stage for the afternoon. After a sparkling welcome, we’ll tour the grounds of a prestigious cava producer, learning the art of cava production while enjoying private tastings across the estate.
Our journey continues with a 4x4 excursion to a historic winery, where vines have been cultivated for over two thousand years. This ancestral estate, transformed from an ancient farmhouse, has been dedicated to viticulture through the ages.
We’ll conclude our day with a memorable dinner on the estate grounds, a spectacular way to finish off the tour and an experience you’ll never forget.

After breakfast, you’ll say goodbye (for now!) to new friends and our sommeliers before your private transportation arrives to take you to the airport for your flight home.
Note: This is the current itinerary and it is possible that things may change. We will make every effort to ensure that the tours and experiences offered are as described. However, it is possible that things may change last minute. Please also note that you do have the option to skip an excursion, however, we will be unable to offer any refunds for missed meals or events.
Dietary restrictions - Due to the nature of the event it may not be possible to accommodate dietary restrictions, however we let the chefs/restaurants we work with know of any restrictions you inform us of. This tour is also not recommended for vegetarians.
This tour includes an optional helicopter ride over the Penedes Wine Region. Note that guests will have to pay for this outside the cost of the tour and will be responsible for paying the helicopter ride directly with the vendor supplying the experience.

At the tour’s conclusion, our team of sommeliers will gladly assist you in curating a personalized selection of local wines tailored to your preferences (wine not included). You’ll have the chance to purchase and ship a customized box of local wines home, ensuring a perfect assortment that complements your tastes.

How Does Transportation at the Start and End of the Trip Work?
One of our sommeliers will meet you at Barcelona International Airport to assist in connecting you with your driver, who will transport you to the hotel for the week. On the final day, we’ll arrange morning transportation back to Barcelona International Airport.
Who is Leading the Trip?
Knowledgeable sommeliers will be your hosts throughout the week. They are experts in local culture, traditions, wine, and cuisine and will be available to assist with recommendations and reservations for experiences outside of the itinerary.
Your First Hotel: A boutique haven at a winery
Hotel one: We will be spending 4 nights at a winery where we will have the hotel to ourselves. With ample outdoor space to socialize, large pool and the magnetic pull of the surrounding vineyards, this grandiose accommodation is so much more than a place to rest.
Your Second Hotel: Indulge in tranquility in Sitges
